Okay, so a few months ago I actually scored a HUGE accomplishment in my blogging career and....

*squeals* I think quite a few of you guys don't actually know who Monmori is, as well as me joining their affiliate program. So this blogpost is kinda an intro to Monmori and mori girl fashion in general.

So, what is "Mori girl" fashion?

"Mori Girl" is a fashion subculture that originated from Japan. "Mori" means forest in Japanese. The whole concept of the Mori Girl style is basically an enchanted forest kinda look. Kinda like a style that's straight from a storybook! It's definitely more subtle and down-to-earth than some of the other Japanese fashion subculture.

In mori-girl fashion you can expect to see a lot of flowy, natural fabrics such as lace, linen, cotton, etc. And oversized anything is a plus! In mori fashion you can see lots of oversized cardigans and floaty, elegant dresses. The color palette is quite neutral with earthy tones, and accessories usually have a vintage, nature theme to them. To sum it up, my closet has a lot of "Korean-fashion" inspired items mixed in with casual American wear. However, there's something about mori-girl fashion that's very appealing- I guess it's the fairytale vibe it gives off- but, it's not completely out of my comfort zone and not overly excessive... So, mori girl fashion is probably one of my fav Japanese fashion styles!

Navy Summer Sporty Set- $34: I honestly love anything navy blue so, this adorable set obviously grabbed my attention!
